Myofascial Release (MFR) is a safe, gentle and highly effective body-work therapy for treating chronic pain. Chronic pain can come from many sources: stress, health conditions, new and old injuries, surgery, trauma, posture, inefficient movement patterns while doing activities you enjoy.
MFR is focused on releasing tension and tightness in the fascia. Fascia is the connective tissue surrounding muscles, bones, organs, blood vessels, nerves and fills the spaces between cells. It's a 3D body system that interacts with all other body systems. Your fascia is everywhere and is entirely connected. By addressing fascial restrictions range of motion and flexibility improve, and pain is alleviated.
What I do
Every 60 or 90 minute MFR treatment is individualized, and I partner with you in each session to achieve your goals. I apply gentle, sustained pressure for several minutes in targeted areas of the body to facilitate the release of tension and pain.
Myofascial Release first treats your symptoms to bring relief, but then seeks to find and release the cause of the pain, which might be in a different location of the body. I look beyond the immediate area of pain or discomfort and over time, more effective results are achieved.

I support you through an eyes closed journey of breathwork using guided verbal cuing (N.L.P.), trauma-informed touch techniques and incredible music to allow the nervous system to reset, heal and return to a regulated state of calm and balance.
